What is a Fibershed?
A Fibershed is a regional network that supports the growth of local fiber systems grounded in equity, sustainability, and community resilience. It connects farmers, fiber artists, dyers, processors, designers, and consumers in a shared effort to regenerate land and culture through textiles.
At Peach State Fibershed, we are building Georgia’s first regional fibershed to support small and medium-scale fiber growers, artists, and vendors within a 100-mile radius of Atlanta. Our goal is to provide access to education, tools, and collaborative opportunities that strengthen local economies, support regenerative farming and grazing practices, and bring fiber from soil to shelf in ways that honor the people, animals, and land that make it possible.
